Breast Augmentation Patient-9
Asian female in her 20s underwent awake breast augmentation with Dr. Kenneth Kim. Dr. Kim performs breast enlargement surgery using local anesthesia, thus avoiding the widely reported and well-known risks and complications of general anesthesia (e.g. aspiration, cardiac arrest, cognitive dysfunction). The use of local anesthesia in breast augmentation results in the fastest recovery possible with no need for narcotic pain medications. The patient remained fully awake during surgery and did not experience pain or discomfort. Following surgery, the patient can walk and move without assistance and is not subject to nausea and vomiting, chills, and disorientation which are common side effects of general anesthesia that begin right after surgery. Dr. Kim’s patients are able to safely walk out of the operating room on their own and make the quickest recovery possible.
