Before and After Gallery: Epicanthoplasty

A 17-year-old patient underwent double eyelid, ptosis repair, and epicanthoplasty eyelid surgeries. Ptosis is when the upper eyelids droop over the eyes due to weak eyelid muscles. The ptosis repair restored the weak levator muscles so the patient could easily raise/open their eyelids. The epicanthoplasty was combined with double eyelid surgery to gently open the inner corners of the eyes and create natural-looking double eyelid folds. The before and after show the transformation from a tired appearance to larger, more expressive, and vibrant eyes.

Asian female in her 30s underwent revision Asian upper blepharoplasty (previous eye surgery was performed elsewhere), epicanthoplasty, and chin implant surgeries. The revision double eyelid surgery created more even and balanced eyes. The addition of epicanthoplasty lengthened the inner corners of the eyes. The chin augmentation using a tailored silicone implant centered and evened out chin asymmetry.

Results for a female Asian patient in her 30s after a combination of awake eyelid surgeries. She received double eyelid surgery (Asian blepharoplasty), epicanthoplasty, and lateral canthoplasty procedures. The after photo shows larger, brighter eyes with double eyelid folds that appear natural and enhance her beauty.

Asian female in her 20s with monolid and epicanthal folds underwent Asian double eyelid (Asian upper blepharoplasty) and epicanthoplasty surgeries. Based on the structure of the patient’s eyelids and the look they are trying to achieve, every double eyelid procedure is customized to the individual. Epicanthoplasty involves opening the inner corner of the eyes. The after photo shows defined double eyelid folds and elongated inner corners resulting in more proportioned eyes relative to her overall face.
