Eyelid Surgery

Asian female in her 30s with puffy upper eyes and eyelid hooding underwent a sub-brow lift surgery. The procedure is performed by making an incision at the lower portion of the eyebrow, removing excess skin just above the eyelid, and lifting the underlying muscle, all without changing the position of the eyebrows. The after photo shows smooth, less heavy upper eyelids and improved eyelid hooding.

Asian male in his 40s with heavy upper eyes, eyelid hooding, and under-eye bags underwent a sub-brow lift and lower eyelid surgery (lower blepharoplasty). The sub-brow lift involved removing the excess and puffy skin just above the upper eyelid and lifting the underlying muscle. The after photo shows improved eyelid hooding so that his pre-existing double eyelid folds became visible. The lower blepharoplasty surgery involved repositioning the fat in the lower eyelids creating a smoother contour. The procedures transformed tired-looking eyes into a brighter appearance.

Asian male in his 40s had monolid eyes that made the eyelids appear heavy.  He underwent Asian double eyelid surgery (Asian upper blepharoplasty) where double eyelid folds were created. Double eyelid creases on males are typically created small. The result was natural-looking double eyelids. The eyes appear bigger and brighter with the iris more visible.

Female in her 40s had puffy under-eye bags and dark circles giving a tired and fatigued appearance. She received lower eyelid surgery (lower blepharoplasty) where the fat in the lower eyelids was repositioned. Note the after photo where the lower eyelid area is smooth without any bulge and dark shadows are no longer visible. The procedure resulted in a brighter and youthful appearance.

Asian female in her 20s had asymmetrical and droopy eyelids caused by eyelid ptosis. She received ptosis correction surgery which repaired the weak eye elevating muscle to create brighter and larger eyes. Patients with droopy eyelids can often appear tired or sleepy. The after photo shows more alert and refreshed eyes.

Asian female in her 40s with uneven eyes and eyelid hooding received unilateral ptosis correction, Asian double eyelid surgery, and a sub-brow lift. She had ptosis in her left eye with multiple eyelid folds and a hollow, sunken upper eyelid, while her right eye had lateral, outer eyelid hooding. The ptosis repair was performed on her left eye to strengthen the weak levator muscle which opened the eye and improved the hollowness of the upper eyelid. The double eyelid procedure created more even and defined eyelid folds. Lastly, the sub-brow lift targeted the drooping outer skin in the upper eye region. The procedure involved removing the excess skin just above the upper eyelid and lifting the underlying muscle. The combination of surgeries helped create more proportionate, balanced, and well-rested eyes.

Asian female in her 20s with monolid eyes and ptosis (droopy eyelid) in her right eye wanted natural-looking double eyelid creases. She had Asian double eyelid surgery (Asian blepharoplasty) and unilateral ptosis correction to help achieve her desired results. Double eyelid surgery candidates who have eyelid ptosis should have ptosis repair surgery as well. Without ptosis correction, the double eyelid folds will appear uneven and can further exacerbate eyelid droopiness and hooding. Ptosis surgery will strengthen the weak eye elevating muscle so that the double eyelid folds will be balanced and the eyes appear bigger and clearer. The after photo shows improved eye symmetry, natural-looking double eyelid folds, and larger eyes where the iris is more visible. The procedures helped transform her eyes from tired to refreshed and appealing.
